Mercy's desire for buttered toast saves the day...er, the night in this story. While Mercy things it's all fun and games but she really has caught a thief and the story only gets more exciting when the police and fire department show up.

Again, a word of caution - they gloss over the thief and don't actually show him going to jail. Be sure to read this yourself and talk about the plot with your child.
