Mistaken Identity

Mistaken Identity: Two Families, One Survivor, Unwavering Hope Mistaken Identity: Two Families, One Survivor, Unwavering Hope by Don & Susie Van Ryn

rating: 4 of 5 stars

By the time you are done reading this book you will feel as though you know both Whitney and Laura personally. This book does a great job of drawing you into the emotional story of these 2 vibrant women who's identity is mistaken in one of the worst situations that could happen. The testimony of their families through the tragic ordeal is inspiring and uplifting.

As I read this book through in 3 & 1/2 hours straight, I felt both sorrow and joy for these 2 families that both went through intense joy and grief. I'll be honest and say that while I thought Whitney and Laura looked similar, I always wondered how you could go for 5 weeks and not realize there had been a mistake. However, after reading this book I understand how it happened. I praise God that, even though it was a heart-wrenching experience, both families were able to grieve and celebrate together for the 2 lives that brought their paths to cross.

This story is an inspiring story of love, forgiveness, joy, sorrow, and friendship. No matter who you are you will enjoy this tragic, yet God-glorifying testimony.
